I was planning for this kind of a trip since long. Amidst time & work constraints, this plan could materialize only last Saturday. Five of us started on Sat morning:
Myself, Harsha, Girish, Krishna Murthy and Jayachandra. For those who don't know
we happened to be together during our Grads.
We started at around 07:00 from here. I had heard that you get good traditional breakfast at Kamat, near Channapatna. We prepared to have our next halt there. Had something known as 'Mude Idly', an idly made within a wrapped leaf. Don't know exactly which one.
For reaching this place, Sivasamudram, we had to take a deviation from the Highway near Maddur. For info, proceed along with the highway, without entering into the town, and you will come to a point where the road splits. Signboards are at help everywhere. The road was great till this point, but we had to settle in for a bumpy ride from there on, till the falls.
The ride back from Talakadu was awesome. With darkness already set in, we started Talakadu at 7PM, ready for a ride of around 150kms, back to Bangalore. Reached back at 11PM. It was a wonderful trip and we had a great time . . . :-)
